EWGALI marked its fifth anniversary with a Nine and Dine at Mill Pond Golf Course in Medford on Thursday, October 7, 2004. The weather was perfect for the 76 golfers (is this correct) as they proceed to play a Best Ball format.
The celebration continued in the banquet hall as the ladies were treated to a succulent buffet of gourmet salads, entrees and desserts! Ellie Walsh, organizer of the event, introduced Patrice Franco, President, EWGALI, who highlighted some exciting chapter accomplishments including:

#1 Chapter in the world  Recognized as a growing force on LI  Media attention on TV, radio, in newspapers and magazines  1st Women's organization to marshal in the US Open  Established a well-respected relationship with the USG

Patrice recognized and thanked all committee members who work diligently throughout the season. She also encouraged everyone to join a committee and become more involved. As for next year, Patrice said various committee members are working on new clinic offerings, perhaps a Saturday league, enhanced social events, and much, much more.
